Makes me wonder why some women are so anti-"mates-little-annual-get-together-and-share-a-beer-and-have-some-fun". Jealousy, as they only drink tea with their friends?

I think we all have the same problem paddy, I think these women think we are going there to enjoy ourselves rather than the serious study of fast cars and researching the best beers and how much we can consume without falling over

We are all different.  Many of the women I know are delighted when their o/h's b*gg*r off and leave them in peace for a few days.  Provided of course, that they are allowed to do the same thing from time to time and (if applicable) leave the kids with the chaps while they enjoy themselves in their turn.

My o/h knows, and always has done, that if he doesn't like the domestic arrangements, then the door is that rectuangular wooden thing in the wall....
