Unless I'm mistaken, this looks like a GM 2nd generation F Body - probably a Chevrolet Camaro rather than a Pontiac Firebird.
I reckon 1973-1975 ?
More research required - 'I'll be back'.

Ooh, my first year!

1981 - Chevrolet Camaro driven by Cale Yarborough only during the race. Accident at the 1 hour mark (officially retired just after the 2 hour mark) at Arnage Corner. The other drivers would have been Bill Hagan and Billy Cooper. Car number was 35 despite the fact that it looks like a 36 from this photo.

Thats the one, this was taken when there was a more relaxed feel to the pit and paddock. Huh

Yeah, remember those days well. Still much more accessible than the open-wheeled farce though!!

But isnt Formula 1 still bloody awful . The local May Day parade has more going for it , the girl guides walk faster than the bromnies . Shumaker calls this OVERTAKING. F1 is still going down hill despite a really good start to the year.

Nothing to do with the thread , but i had to say it.
sorry F1 fans , its crap. Watch BTCC , they overtake, crash and still finish the race , then have a punch up . Go on Reidy  Tongue
