1. Introduction

Richard Chester Racing is offering you the opportunity to sponsor a rare, historic racing Ferrari in a major international racing series. If you were to take up this opportunity the benefits which could be brought to your company are :-

Hospitality and Team involvement at race weekends
Display of the car, together with drivers, if requested, for corporate advertising.
Photographs of the car and drivers with corporate sponsorship logos for advertising.
Passenger laps in the race car at Ferrari test days on most of the UK major circuits

Media coverage in national and international motoring press.

2. 2000 Season
Richard Chester Racing has entered an international racing series for 1970 period Le Mans Cars. This series has entries from Le Mans winning cars and drivers and is expected to attract large media coverage. In the G.T. class of this series Richard Chester Racing has entered a Ferrari Daytona Group 4 competition race car.

The series includes the following rounds :-

May 12 / 14 Coppa Intereuropa Monza

May 21-23 Spring Meeting (Invitation Race) Monza

June 09 / 11 Historic Grand Prix Most(Hungary)

July 20 /23 Coys International Historic Festival Silverstone

August 4 / 6 Oldtimer Grand Prix Nurburgring

Sept 09 / 10 EnduranceTrophy Spa Francorchamps

Sept 22 / 24 Grand Prix Historique de Bourgogne Dijon

The series will re-create the great Group 4 battles of the 60's and early 1970's with Ferrari 512, Porsche 917, Lola T70, Ferrari Daytona Porsche Carrera. The event at Monza is a marvellous start to a fantastic seasons racing at some of Europe's finest Racing Circuits including the unique circuit at Most and the GP circuit at Dijon Prenois and is expected to attract considerable spectator support and extensive media attention.

3. Racing History
3.1 Lead Driver - Richard Chester

Started racing in 1976 with the Ferrari Owners Club. Competed in many international events including :-
Macau International Meeting 1990 (Macau)
Mas Du Clos International Meeting 1976, 1983, 1985 (France)
Zandvoorte International Meeting 1985, 1989 (Holland)
Spa Francorchamps International Meeting 1990, 1992, 1993, 1995 1997(Belgium)
L'Age d'Or 1997
Oldtimer Grand Prix Nurburgring 1998
Oldtimer Grand Prix Nurburgring 1999

3.2 Second Driver - Nicholas Chester
Formerly with Simtek Grand Prix presently Chief Test Engineer for TWR Arrows F1. Began racing in Northern rally championship in 1988. Raced in the Pirelli Maranello Ferrari Championship in 1990, 1991 and 1992. Competed in the following international events :-

Spa Francorchamps International Meeting 1990, 1992 (Belgium)
Zandvoorte International Meeting 1989 (Holland)
L’Age d’Or 1997

Successes include :-
Winner of Guadatori Novizio Del'Anno Trophy 1990

Winner of Fiarano Cup 1990

4th in class and 1st 3 litre Ferrari (Spa Francorchamps 1990)

3.3 Race Engineer - Nicholas Chester

Career began as a research/race engineer at Simtek Grand Prix, now working as Chief Test Engineer at TWR Arrows. Responsible for all decisions relating to race car preparation and race strategy..

4. Sponsorship Details

To enable participation in the full race series Richard Chester Racing would like to raise £40,000 to cover the 1999 season's expenditure which includes engine drive-train maintenance, tyres, suspension and brake overhauls, travel costs, entry fees and maintenance.

One major sponsor would be preferred to enable the team to provide full personal attention to the sponsor and their clients providing a real insight into the sport and social scene.

Sponsorship for individual races will be at the rate of £6000 per race with a minimum of two races.

For reduced sponsorship levels the advertising on the car can be separated as follows :-

Front wing area (total per side) :- £5000.
Rear wing area (total per side) :- £5000.
Bonnet area (total) :- £10000.
Boot area (total) :- £4000.
Door area (total per side ) :- £2500
Roof area (total) :- £2000.
Driver overalls and Helmet :- £2000.
Companies wishing to sponsor at a reduced level of £500 can have the car and drivers photographed with sponsors logos as specified for advertising purposes. Obviously, at this level of sponsorship, no advertising would be carried on the car at races. Company logos, photography sessions and transport thereto are the sponsors responsibility.
For major sponsors the car can be displayed at the sponsors location for corporate entertaining, with the drivers if required (subject to availability).
