I am really surprised at this. I thought that the bank couldn't accepted the DD instruction without checking that an account holder had authorised it?
In my experience, financial fraud isn't a priority for the police - it's more complex and perhaps less exciting than chasing a robber or someone without a driving licence or insurance. You could argue that the risk to us is higher than with financial fraud.
That said, the Economist put organised criminal attack on the UK public sector at £9 billion per year, so we're all paying, we'll most of us are!
I found out the other day that criminals pay much more for the credentials of a well used twitter account than a National Insurance number - I heard up to £300 instead of £20.

http://perrinn.com/Catching up on my Gareth Jones on Speed podcast, Gareth mentioned the Perrinn Open Source Le Mans car project. I'm very familiar with open source software, but in when it comes to domains that are ultra competitive I'm not sure it works, although I love the idea that I could contribute. Does anyone have experience, thoughts or views? Aricus

Thanks for this post.
I'm changing my plans so that on route to Le Mans we intend to visit Juno beach - maybe others too. I understand that it was Juno beach that the Canadians used. I believe my house in Haslemere billeted the Canadians when they were based in the local area.

It was so good that if it runs again next year, I might forgo the Revival and do this instead, (although I do like those taxi girls at the Revival).
Clearly there weren't enough members taking it up, which is why it was opened up to non-members, but that decision was made very late. And, as it was about as crowded as the first Revival, I'm not sure Lord March turned a profit, so although I hope it runs next year, I would understand if it didn't.
Perhaps he should run it in the "off years" from the Classic?
My highlight was the Le Mans car run, especially as they were clearly giving it some juice on the Sunday run.
I'm not currently booked for the Classic, maybe I should - any recommendations?

It was really full last year, but I guess that you won't be blocking my view this year!
I'm really happy with French bands too - Air, Daft Punk.....

The Earth Wind and Fire Experience last year was great - really gave us a chance to exercise the feather boas - has anyone heard anything about 2014?

My two children both have birthdays around Goodwood, the eldest has the FoS and my daughter the Revival. When my daughter was born the night before Goodwood, 9 years ago this year, I left her and her mum in the hospital and went. I thought it would be a good idea if. I got a video of Jenson Button congratulating her. It wasn't.
We all go to each Goodwood and my son Tristan who will be 14 at the. Revival this year will be on his 4 Le Mans this year.
So far so great!
If you see him in his fez, say hi!
