Andy at Langoustine has confirmed our pitch of 10. Not as close to the Brethren as we'd have hoped (the other side of the P.H. stockade in fact), but still within stumbling distance. Grin

93  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Bad crash for Webber in Brazil on: December 01, 2014, 01:12:17 am
Very nasty looking crash involving Mark Webber at the WEC in Brazil. Stretchered out of the car but at least he was awake and waved to the crowd. Unusually, there was a Ferrari involved too Roll Eyes.
Fingers crossed he makes a speedy recovery.
A very good race apart from that and also TK's last.

Simple solution, just book your Porsche in for service at the centre for that weekend and sleep in the car. No need to thank me. Grin

OK, I've just this second booked and it's cost me £98 return. The reason is that I'm going out on thursday at 8:50am and returning on Monday at 18:50. This is with their five day "Short stay saver fare" so if you go out on the wednesday you pay more. It's £49 each way rather than £73 each way Grin

I used it last year (even though I went eurotunnel I still had to pay the joining fee). Though it was worth the joining fee to just cruise up to the toll and straight through. Some of them you can go through at 30KPH, thats nearly third gear in my car  Grin

I was behind this on track at the Silverstone Classic a few weeks ago. And while we were only on a parade lap, it certainly wasn't hanging around. Nice, but I'd find better ways of spending £90k

They do know how to build a bridge.

While the car is lovely, I think it's price is for the fact that you're paying an entry ticket into a very very exclusive club.

Just tried to book the Eurotunnel for next June and they've replied
"FARE FOR THIS DATE AVAILABLE SOON  Thank you for your enquiry. Bookings for your selected dates are not on sale yet. Please try again later."
So perhaps I should try again at tea time?
104  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Silverstone Classic this weekend. Anyone going? Camping? on: July 28, 2014, 03:01:24 pm
Yes, very sad news. Thankfully I didn't witness the crash or the one on Saturday which saw its driver hospitalised. Up until that point, it really had been a wonderful weekend. The group C cars sounded as good as ever
RIP Denis Welch

Yes Brad, I understand. However, I think that if you explained to your wife that the best possible start that you could give your soon to be born child, would be to be delivered in the pits of a motor racing circuit, she'd surely understand and probably thanks you for the suggestion. Grin
