If I take a week away, and spend £4 - 500, then the present Mrs Liv will have my guts for garters.

Sea Frace have just had my £50 for the annual pilgramage, out on  Sunday 7th and back on Mon 15th !!
Seemed like too good a price to turn down.

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

Oh come on Nick, make it low key, travel and camp with someone else (us for example) and it won't cost you anything near 400 quid. We wouldn't even mind if you blew the campsite up on Sunday night Roll Eyes

Just tell her that its not a question of whether you go, its a question of whether you come back, but I'd assess the risks first, as she might change the locks

And £50 for a ferry, that take me back - to about 1980

The pricing structure of P&O is a stange one indeed. These are the quotes they have given me this morning. All are for the same ferry and return fares.

My car (Landy Disco) with 4 occupants .... £74

My car + a trailer less than the height and length of the car .... £174.

Van. same height but less than the length of car and trailer combined .... £274.

There dosen't seem to be any logic to any of the prices compared to the different combinations. The only difference is that the van would have only two occupants.

Just spent £1650 on LD Lines...............

Thats £1000 cheaper than P&O from 3 years ago.

Or £600 cheaper than 2 years ago on Brittany Fisheries from Poole.

I'm £400 lighter.  By getting in a couple of hours earlier than you, I probably cost you £50.

For the Caravan, Dover Calais isn't much cheaper

I was going to book them in the morning, but waited for the credit card to come home. When she did, all crossings were £30 more than the morning, yet the group ticket was £100 less ?? Go Figure.
