Will we get a preview of the winning entries before we commit to order quantity and payment?
The reason being, if I am lucky and get one of my photos included then I will order an extra one to keep in pristine condition for sentiment.
-
Other question; I have no problem with bankpayments to the UK, but then I need some more info regarding the account (SWIFT / IBAN codes). Cheques will be a problem, and I also don't like paying to much to paypal. ;)

Chris
There really isn't time - I need to start getting the money in now, and the final layout will not be finalised for 10 days or so. Please remember, we don't have the financial resources to produce these speculatively, and will only print to paid orders. However, we will print a few extra copies to cater for late/extra orders.
Hope this helps

Could you perhaps simply print a list of those names whose pics have been selected?

I understand your disliking of the paypal system, but it's the fastest and best way for me to get any money to you from Canada. So on the one hand I'm sorry, and on the other, I'm paying...
11 GPB, plus 0.75, x 1.038 is... uh,... 12.20 GBP.

No problems about using Paypal - it's just I object to feeding their pockets.
Cash received OK.
I have to ask - what is the 1.038 factor for?? I presume it represents the 3.8%. If so, you have mis-read the instructions - this figure kicks in on orders for 5 or more calendars; you have already added the 0.75 fee once for your order of 1 calendar. I'll take the extra as a donation to CA funds - not worth sending it back ;D ;D ;D

Delboy,
Was going to post a cheque but with this strike you'll probably not get it until you set off next June!
If I send bank transfer, how will you know who it's from and where to send the calendar?
-
Delboy,
Was going to post a cheque but with this strike you'll probably not get it until you set off next June!
If I send bank transfer, how will you know who it's from and where to send the calendar?
Because...as Del says in his first post you then send him an email with your details telling him you've made a payment. As a practical point if your bank allows you to enter a payment ref it's worth putting your name in.
-
OOps.......just re-read that....properly this time.
Cheers Piglet!
-
Delboy,
PM sent.
Great job with the calender.
Tim.

When you make the transfer, it should ask you for a reference - enter your CA Name. Send me an email at cafund@hotmail.co.uk with your details.

Cheque will be in post tomorrow but due to the strike may not get to you till wednesday. Twats.

I know initially I only ordered one but I am having something of a girlie attack of late and have changed my mind which is most unusual for me, and highly disturbing. Next thing you know I'll stop liking motor sport and take up shopping for shoes as a hobby.
Anyway...could I now have two calendars please? Cheque in the post today.

Delboy,
Sorry for delay, away from home excessively. Internet payment just made - should be self evident it's mine if Abbey include the payment reference right but it'll be from my alter ego: Finance Owl Services Limited.
Thanks, good luck with production and purchase price collection.

The final selection has been made and the final layout has been put together. It will be with the printer tomorrow. I think you will be very pleased and surprised at how good this will be.
Those of you that have not sent your money off to Del should do so now cos this is the first and sure to be a collectors item

come on Rick dont be shy. ;D
-
Why is the bloke dragging the doll the only one on pops? ???
-
You havn't missed it.....it was never posted.
In order to heighten your level of anticipation and to increase the level of euphoria when you receive the calendar, it was decided not to publish which photos were selected, only the names of the people whose pics were used :-X :-X :-X
Mainly, the photos selected were submitted by the following (in no particular order):
Steve Brown Rick Cutler Lorry Mal
BOB U Champion Audi Muzorewa Brad Wills
Mogie Goodduck HtBast Pileopants
Photos from some other contributors were also selected for some of the 'inserts'.
The calendar is in print this week, so you should be receiving your copies within the next few days. 160 copies are being printed, which leaves a few 'spare', so if anyone who hasn't ordered, or if anyone wants additional copies, some will be available.
Del
-
Don't get them too excited Del.
I should be picking them up on Thursday or Friday. The first priorety will be those for overseaes and those to be hand delivered to Rotterdam. The rest I will post put over the next week or so. They will be posted 2nd class so allow a few days for the Royal Mail to get their arses in gear and drop them through your letterboxes. I will however, post notice when the last of them have been despatched so everyone will know when they should have been recieved by.
-
i am very exited to see the calendars now! cant wait to get my copies.
-
Will there be a preview of the calendar once you have them though. You know, some people, myself included don't buy things without first seeing what we are buying. I know its for club funds etc, but I have already produced 3 calendars for myself for next year so would like to see whats on it before i bought a fourth calendar for next year.
-
You must have a spare £11 somewhere Chris?
(£11 = 2 bottles of reasonable wine in Tescos)
-
Does not mean he will spend it though. ;D
-
probably not at Tesco's wine (he'd better buy Tesco flowers :D )
-
£5.50 for a bottle of wine, you must be joking, £1.99p is more like it. Besides which if you ever see me in tesco's then I will probably be taking a dump through the letter box of pouring petrol through the letter box. Those bastards built on Blackburn stock car track and my hallowed Wigan Rugby League ground !
-
Do we have a delivery date yet ( and thanks to those involved in the envelope licking) or do we have to torch the local Tescos first
-
As long as we get them before we need them I'll be a happy man.
Just relax, and forget about them, then it'll be a nice surprise when they drop onto the mat.
