Help / Beausejour Campsite- Electric Hook-ups
« on: March 27, 2023, 01:14:12 pm »
Hi

Wonder if any who used Beausejour campsite last year can advise me on the availability of an electric hook-up?
We normally use Tertre Rouge but they are a bit like unobtanium this year. Noticed last year that there had been upgrades to Tertre Rouge including many more electrical outlets and wondered if the same applied to Beausejour.

Would like to know so we can prepare accordingly.

Thanks

2023 / Wanted- Tertre Rouge camping passes
« on: January 03, 2023, 03:35:52 pm »
Looking for Tertre  Rouge camping pass(es). I know they are even rarer than hen's teeth for 2023 but its the campsite I have been using since I first went in 1981 (OK it was camping Panorama then) and only missed 3 (plus 2 due to Covid) since then.

If anyone should end up with one or more that become surplus to requirements then please contact me.
We will be going and have alternative camping booked but would prefer Tertre Rouge due to meeting up with friends from all over Europe on that site.

Help / F1 Grand Prix at Circuit of Americas- October 2017
« on: August 01, 2017, 04:47:31 pm »
As I will be in Texas in October I thought I would pay a visit to see the F1 race.  As I have never been there before does anyone have any advice as to best viewing points, where to but tickets, parking, food etc etc. We will only be there for the race on Sunday.

Cheers
BG

General Discussion / Re: Le Mans 2017 Preparation
« on: June 02, 2017, 11:00:19 am »
Have just returned from a beer foraging expedition to Lidl.  I was hoping for some bargain basement ales but left empty handed.

Guess it's back to Waitrose to abuse the staff discount card  ;)

Try the Hatherwood from Lidl. It is actually brewed by Wychwood who make Hobgoblin etc.

General Discussion / Charity Rally- Help required
« on: May 08, 2016, 04:57:07 pm »
As some of you may know (and indeed contributed) Team Black Granny sometimes do a charity collection around the campsite on Friday evening at LM.
This year we are doing something a bit different. We are taking my 1996 Toyota Celica on the Two Balls Banger Rally (http://www.twoballbangerrally.co.uk). This is a 4 day trip starting in St Omer in France and ending in Nice. The route is around 1200 miles and takes in Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland,Italy and Monaco as well as, obviously, France.
On the way we will tackle the Stelvio pass as well as the Monaco Grand Prix circuit.

The aim of the rally, apart from (hopefully) having a lot of fun and taking in some great scenery, is to raise money for charity. I will be raising money for Bowel Cancer research. This is something that claimed the life of my younger brother a few years back and could affect any of us.
Our team name is 2 Shady Greys (reflecting our hair colour and characters) and our outfit bear more than a passing resemblance to the Tarquin persona.

We have set up a Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/2shadygreys for donations and are also offer corporate sponsorship. For a £50 donation your company name will be advertised on the car. All corporate sponsor names will be put into a hat and the winner drawn out will have their company name and logo across the bonnet of the car.

All donations will be gratefully received.
Any queries on sponsorship then please PM me.
