If anybody on the forum is planning to attend the funeral could you please let me know.
The family have asked  so that they can judge numbers for the catering.

Wishy's cremation will be held at the Guildford crematorium at 2.15 pm on Friday the 27th of February, with a wake following at Guildford Rugby club just down the road at around 3 pm.

Most of this is a foreign language to me!
Probably because I'm a old fart who grow up using slide rules and log tables.
Not even electronic calculators let alone PC's.
And only 3 television channels, it was 2 but I remember BBC2 starting!
But I did see England win the World Cup and the first Moon landing. :)

Our thanks Lennart for keeping CA going, it is very much appreciated.

General Discussion / Wishy R.I.P
January 19, 2026, 01:45:18 PM
It is with much sadness that I inform the CA forum of the passing of Wishy, aka Andy Coot.
He had been a member of CA for as long as I can remember and will be sadly missed by his family and his many friends.
One of the good guys.

There has been a Houx ticket up for resale site in the last couple of weeks.
Went quickly though, you need to be on the Telegram alert link if you are not already.
Also a few Eppinettes and BSJ tickets as well.
Last time I looked a couple of weeks ago you could still buy GA's on the ACO site without going to resale.
Good luck!

General Discussion / Disabled tickets

According to the ACO website, they no longer accept blue badges as proof of disability for entrance tickets.
Although you can use a blue badge to buy disabled parking tickets.  :-\
They require an equivalent to their 'French Carte CMI Invalidité'.
Problem is there is not an equivalent in the UK.
Before I contact the ACO does anybody have any ideas or knowledge on how to get round this.

Update.
According to Sanef it's deployed on the Paris-Normandy route (A13 and A14) and at the Boulay free flow tollgate (A4 exit 36).
Tags will still work, which is good, having to make multiple payments to different autoroute companies within 72 hours would be a pain if you driven across LBF for your holidays.

Has anybody sold their tickets through the resale site?
If so how was your refund handled?
Back to the original payment card or by another method?

Can't find my refund anywhere at the moment!

I had heard something about this happening.
Where about did you encounter them being removed Kev?
Big Brother is watching our every move.

As long as the tags are still working it won't affect us .

Probably not Barry. The ACO don't seem to want it remembered. Sees it only warrants a tiny plaque on the pit straight wall

That's what I understood and expected.
Shame especially as most of the people killed were locals.

Does anybody know if there are any plans to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the 1955 accident on June 11th or at any time during the week?

Hi All
Have seen the QR code...
Also bought access to the ACO area at La Chappelle. Anyone have any idea where that shows or do you present your membership card?
DW

In past years you had to go to the ACO building on the pit straight to pick up a wristband and a goody bag. The wrist band will get you into the fan area at La Chappelle and the ACO building where you can use the showers and decent bogs. They also have lockers you can use to save you carrying your sh*t backwards and forward from the campsite. Plus the beer in there is cheaper than the rest of the circuit.

You were also able to get the wristbands at the entrance of La Chapelle ACO area, although last time I used it it was pre covid and free for members!
Certainly Wed/Thurs.
Did hear that the areas have been rammed on the race days, like everywhere else.
