ACO ticket app
« on: February 09, 2025, 11:17:46 am »
I'm beginning to think that this app does not exist and never will.
Even if it exists you are going to have to have a function to transfer tickets from the purchaser to people they have bought tickets for.
4am Sunday morning, you get back to campsite and your phone battery is dead?
Personally I think it's a ruse to keep the tickets within the resale site for as long as possible and that we will get an email a couple of weeks before the race saying we can print off tickets that we have bought.

I'd like to think that the delay is because they are doing some rigorous testing, including the expected load on race day.  But somehow I doubt it....
Of course I buy green cars, my Aston is green, my MGB is green, my Disco Sport is green,  oh, that's not what you meant by green?

I'm sure it will happen - many sporting events are going that way now, for instance you can't get into Twickenham without their app now. I'm also sure that, because it's the ACO, when (if) it does happen it will be an absolute cluster f***.

Last I heard was that the App was expected some time in March (This year).

I got most of my tickets as printed ones, just waiting for the app for a couple of extra camping and parking ones

When are they activating mobile tickets and camping permits this year? Still don't have QR codes on mine.

My ad-hoc parking additions were set up weeks ago, plus I've had a camping pass transferred from someone else.
Being of an older generation I got most of my tickets in hard copy though, just in case!

I have tested the ACO app by assigning tickets to others, and also had one sent back to me after I sent them the wrong ticket 😂

My entrance ticket was deleted off the app while I was asleep last night!
Not happy and emailed the ACO to that effect.
I have a feeling that the only way it will get sorted is if I sell the ticket I have and buy a replacement.
Ticket still listed on my tickets section in the ACO website though, so I can do that.
I'm sure these ticket apps work well at say rugby matches, when you only have to show your ticket once to get in, but I have doubts that it will work without issues at LM.
Bandwidth? Multiple requirements to have the QR code scanned?
Will probably pay to get physical tickets next year, can do without the stress.

I will do that for as long as it's possible.

Hi All
Have seen the QR code…
Also bought access to the ACO area at La Chappelle. Anyone have any idea where that shows or do you present your membership card?

In past years you had to go to the ACO building on the pit straight to pick up a wristband and a goody bag. The wrist band will get you into the fan area at La Chappelle and the ACO building where you can use the showers and decent bogs. They also have lockers you can use to save you carrying your sh*t backwards and forward from the campsite. Plus the beer in there is cheaper than the rest of the circuit.
There is a corner of a foreign field that will be forever England ------ Houx Annexe

And the bastards have built on it.

You were also able to get the wristbands at the entrance of La Chapelle ACO area, although last time I used it it was pre covid and free for members!
Certainly Wed/Thurs.
Did hear that the areas have been rammed on the race days, like everywhere else.
