Chaps

Been for a test drive in a Honda S2000.  ( I'm 5ft 10 - so I fit ).

OK - It needs revving to get the best out of it.... but it does seem a hoot to drive on country roads.

Thoughts on this car ( The current Mrs Gaspode likes it too - and is happy that the car is new )

re Porsche 911.   What age of car am I looking at?   7 years,  8 years, 9 years plus...

The cynic in me is a bit concerned on spending 30K on a 7/8/9+ year old car.
As I'd be having nice expensive bimonthly bills to keep it on the road.

Anyone care to share their ownership experience of a Porker this old....

Only me and the current Mrs Gaspode.
Elise/ Exige and Sevens too clumsy to get in / out.
Subaru and Evo a bit too garish...

So...  help a petrolhead select his next set of wheels.
What would you buy/ recommend.

If you are gonna go British...  then do it right.

I'll leave my Saltire at home, and buy a Union flag  specially
Although the rest of my team are bringing USA and England flags.

Hmm..  Does that make us an Al Qaeda target?

Maybe Flea Bay has some Swiss flags going cheap  :-)

As long as you have a table top burner that can put up a decent flame it should be fine.

( the innards of the box is just a long coiled tube of copper )

Be aware that the flow rate isn't going to burst the pimples on your back..   it's (OK for camping and good enough to have a shower -   and it's hot!

I also bought the shower stand  ( metal tubes )  and the shower cubible  ( at the time they didn't have the one shown on the website ) -  I ended up with more like a Toilet tent....  but - it can be build in about 30 seconds   -  The tent and frame are sown together  and just spring lock.


I'm a happy customer - and the others in my LM group are quite impressed.

Had it for 2 Le Mans trips and it's really pretty good.

I opted for the one that attaches to a big butane bottle.   A 3.9kg Calor gas cylinder fits well ( same screw fit as the US ).

I have 2 burners - but in reality you only need one - putting both on is scalding hot.
