I asked the ACO how they decided who would get MB tickets and who wouldn't:

"There will be works in Maison Blanche so we are losing a lot of places so we can't afford them to all regular clients as you, especially when you need a lot of places.  People who wanted 1 or 2 tickets, it was OK, the others not."
So there you go. I wonder if that includes corporate sales and agencies?

Yeah, the security side of BN worries me a little too, - you can break into my car so easily, and the deadlock on my tent's been playing up a bit. That's assuming I manage to get the car rolling, I was shocked to see I only managed 300 miles in it last year! No wonder it's got the hump.

Well, Paddy got 11 MB tickets from an agency, and that gives us one big block of pitches. So apparently they had no problem supplying the agencies with more than one or two campingplaces.
2 cats, 6 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, lots of mice, 1 syrian hamster, 1 chinchilla, a lot of fun!

Jimmy may have to bring the sledge hammer out of retirement  ;D

How about one of these, more fun and I notice it is waterproof.

If you're going through hell, keep going.

I love that "starter kit".

Like once you get into electrocuting people you can buy more advanced equipment.

People may remember my posts last year relating to camp security.
I must find that website that sells the tripwire activated smoke grenades, thunder flashes and load your own splatter grenades.
Obviously there needs to be some sensible application of the above gadgets as we dont want to catch the over refreshed camper returning to his pitch with a nasty covering of something unpleasant... but I already have plans for tent zip triggered fun.
Nothing that will injure obviously! ;)

Watch this space!!

Oh, and finally... Bleu used to be ok when we used it and seemed the same when I took Lady PP on the BMX cruise round all the sites on her first LM in 06. Mind you.... most blokes are friendly when faced with the sight of a young lady on a BMX in a mini skirt and stripey knickers!! ;D
What do you mean dust?.... Thats not dust, this is dust! Ich Habe Honda S2000 and its not mine!

BN has not only a security problem.

From sunday till thursday it wil be an open space with less or non guests. No social control whatever and even hard to make it a little bit social or cosiness.

Having a nice evening in an open square of hundreds of meters wont be easy.
Even then, everyone passing on the road will see there is somthing going on with easy acses during the first 3 or 4 days / nights.

If I remember correctly, the Lotus 7 / Caterham club have had a 'closed' site within Bleu for many years, with entertainment, food etc etc.
They don't appear to have had problems.

You are right Steve, they have been doing this for a long time.

There are so many of them that there always seems to be someone about, which probably discourages any 'problems'.

They probably do not arive on sunday I suppose.

The "problem " that I ment was concerning the first days of the week.
When still a lott of guest have to arive, and a lot of space is still vacant.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Caterham group fence in their own area and provide security at the entrance. They actually have a bigger stage than DfH (how dare they), big screen TV, bar and food, and they take all the stuff over from the UK in a couple of HGVs.

Hell, they have even chartered their own ferry in the past!

It was a seacat.

Camped next to the Locusts/Caterhams in 2006 on Blue Sud.
They have all the aforementioned and provide their own.....24hour....security.
Take up way too much space mind.
But if they've paid for it then the problem, again, rest with the ACO for giving it them.
Did I just say that out loud?
