I have been reading elsewhere that general testing takes place every wednesday at Mallory Park.

Never been, but seen photos that include a wonderful arry of cars, most recently Abba Kogans collection of Matra sportscars and F1's and many other 70's and 80's F1's.

I cannot verify it but today I think may have a turnout of Grp c and historic touring cars.

So if your passing the area it may be worthwhile to pop in. Dont know if its free.
Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better.

I love Mallory, I went to my very first motor race there in 1971!
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Wow, we started watching the same year then, my debut was 1971 at the 1000 km Nürburgring :D

1971 was a good rookie year for a few of us then, my first race was the 1971 Mid Ohio Can-Am, won by some guy named Jackie Stewart.

I've still got the programme, also for the GP that year, and the 1000km programme for 1970.
The 1970 programme has a lap chart we did and also shows the time intervals between cars !!

For some reason I gave up with the lap chart after two laps in 1971 !!
Always go into a corner too fast, in case it turns out to be a quick one!

Have you every thought of writing a book? cant be that many marshals been around for as long as you and to have travelled so far an wide.

Maybe even just a short piece for Motorsport?
