Just noticed in BF newsletter that both places require you to have a Crit'air from 1st January 2025.
With Caen it MIGHT just be within the ring road, I'll let those without Crit'air research it.
Le Havre might be another matter though as the port is near the city center, again those without might want to check.

Looks like at Caen it's within the ring road only.
sensible.

Le Havre, looks like that without one the only route away from the port is through the industrial area to the south.

They are so cheap (approx €3) and easy to order on the French gov't website, it's just easier to get one rather than do the research.

Totally agree, but some people seem reluctant to get them for some reason.

Also older vehicles can't get them, both my motorbikes don't qualify for one, so alternative plans have to be made.

How mean can you get.  I'm mean, but have had 7 years use out of my Crap'air badge.  That's a horendous 50p a trip.

I don't think they have ANPR yet, so rely on plod to spot the stickers, in their usual efficient way.

Caen's Crap'air region seems to be inside the ring-road, so anyone coming off the Ouistreham ferry should be safe.

Its easy to look these things up https://caenlamer.fr/zone-faibles-emissions
