Terms of reference Fax? I agree Sebring is a far better race to actually watch, even if it is only half as long. That much is indisputable. The LMES at Silverstone and probably all the other curcuits used in ALMS and LMES are better than Le Mans from the speccys point of view.

As to it being a better "event", I'm not so sure. Le Mans is a much bigger event in terms of spectator numbers and probably the atmosphere is more charged. The race start is more dramatic, or at least was, except now they gone and stuck the stupid effin chicanes in at Dunlop. On balance, I reckon I agree with Lee, they're both best.
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Andrew, yes probably looking at it more from a spectating viewpoint.  Both have a great festive atmosphere, LM more of a international flavor.  Sebring is a great celebration of the arrival of spring and a chance to party off some of the winter cobwebs.  Agree somewhat about the start, I think both have an electric feel, Le Mans perhaps a bit more build-up because of the far later start time.  As I mentioned on another thread however, I find the sight of the field braking to a stop at the Dunlop Chicane about the dumbest sight in all of motor racing.

Well I'm glad we got that settled.

;D - i cant help sniggering every time i see "klein tools" - esp when i saw the driver with it written on the belt of his overalls!  8)

For my pennyworth, the biggest point against Sebring for me would be having to pass thru US Customs and Immigration - that is an experience I will NEVER repeat - not even if I was offered a ride round the circuit in the jockey seat!!!

Here's another visual, printed yesterday, for Sebring Turn 10 :)

that's a 20 inch screen bytheway

Paddy nice poster, your DFH stickers look good by the way.

I have produced a CA Sebring banner by the way, in the style of the T shirt front but undated, which I am obviously taking to Sebring. Hope nobody minds.

By the way I have 2 x flat 20" on my desk one Mac & one PC oh and a 17" iMac at home, not bragging, just lucky.

My God, Randy! Do you need old pictures to get in the mood?

I just need an entry list and a calender to get all exited. Only 110 days 'till LM... :P
Hmm, I take my words back Randy. Got the '02 - '05 LM reviews on DVD yesterday, and have to admit the visuals look very inviting indeed.

Steve, Andy and I were chatting to some of the guys from the Saleen team (including the retired MD) at Turn 3 (???) about an hour into the race last year. They were really excited about taking the car to Le Mans and invited us to visit tghem in the paddock. Real shame they didn't make the trip in the end!

I was referring to the size of my monitor for refrence to the size of the banner ;)
Which is 105 by 160 cms by the way, so that must be about a stone and three quarters in your measurement :-\

By the looks of all these great pics it might just be Sebring and Le Mans for me in 2007. No LMES then and I might get away with it at home :(
Paddy's 2009: Spa LMS • NBR 24 • Le Mans 24 • Spa24NBR LMSSilverstone LMS =(

Hey Paddy. how do I get my hands on a Drinking for Holland shirt?
I'll give you cash money, american for it. Can it come over with the banner?

thanks. -Lee

Shouldn't be a problem Lee, Pieter is bringing one for Randy already anyway. Just a matter of producing another pre-season copy, I'll work on that next week :)
