Pardon me for being picky but it does seem rather a poor result to spend all that money, time and effort to break a hundred year old record by a mere 12 mph. The BBC say American Fred Marriot held the record set in 1906 of 127mph (204km/h).  ??? At least Fred went into hotels after...

I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.
