« on: March 11, 2010, 06:33:11 pm »
Spotted the official poster has been published by the ACO, very poor, obviously no expence spared with the design department >:(

Got to admit, that one is pretty lame, even by ACO standards.  They need to take a look at what Sebring does and commision a racing artist (Michael or Graham Turner, Nick Watts, Roger Warwick, etc) to do the art.  The Michael Turner-Watkins Glen posters are still hugely collectable.  I have an original 1971 Glen Six-Hours & Can-Am poster hanging in our house.

True, but there is room for the Commer under the the Dunlop Bridge, and hiding at the back of the stage

Like Fax says. I guess we could have provided some pics of one of the Friday parties from back in the days we were still allowed on MB, or maybe even something around the Dunlop Bridge area with a PooBar party to blend into the background. At least on the other side of the pond they understand; by the fans, for the fans.

Well, maybe they should have left the campings the way they were; with fans on it, instead of empty Peugeot tents...

That sucks pole. The ACO has lost whatever plot they once had. My local drag strip's promo materials are 100% better than that thrown-together crap.

now now. it's not that bad, actually thats a whole lot of designing going on. quite balanced.

... but made by a designer who has no feel for the event at all, just done as an academic piece.

Pretty poor photo selection as well. ...ok it sucks. but I still think I'd like one.
