I was on business in Imola (Italy) last week, left my suppliers factory on Friday evening for Bologna Airport, picked up a hire car at 6ish from the airport and drove to San Remo. Had a nice chat to the Carabinieri on route

, Dumped the Hire car at the rental companies agent in the town centre at 11pm. Collected by my French work colleague and drove to Aix de Provence, had a few hours sleep and then caught the 09:43 TGV up to Paris. Changed from Gare de Lyon to Gare de Nord by taxi, lunched in Paris watching the Manchester derby on the TV with a whole bunch of Brits. Caught a Eurostar Train at 6pm to St. Pancs, swapped to Euston Station and headed up to Crewe. Transfered to a train to Wilmslow and then another to Manchester Airport. Collected car from car park and was home to watch Match of the Day by 11pm. Not bad going in 30 hours

It actually made a refreshing change going by train.
Now wish I had stayed in Italy for a few extra day
