You need to decide whether what happens next Thursday will send the £ up or down vs the $ and the €.

Get a Nationwide flex account debit card, load it with sterling, withdraw euros in France at the commercial rate.

That's what we've been doing for years! Also, the do a credit card with the same zero or miniscule fees which is quite handy to take as a backup and for large purchases!
