Don't forget the marigolds Fran...LB, and fold-up bike so you can run errands for us  ;D

Do you think a towbar would spoil the lines of the Alfa?

F

At the front or back? ooops  ;D

Don't be cheeky!

Anyway - my appliction to join LBs is still on a knife-edge, so I have to be respectful - could still be black balled.

BTW - how many suitcases can I bring?

F

None ;D
As we are travelling by Alfa and it doesn't have much room and has no ground clearance (last trip we wore out the sumpguard), small tent, sleeping bag and a small holdall each is all we can take. Andy might have a little space in his car if we get stuck, but travel light and remember 'Carrefour WILL provide!'

The GTA is surprisingly spacious if you fold the rear seats down - but want to be as light as possible as the fuel consumption isn't very good at the best of times !!!!

Whatcha Martini - how's it going? Will we tempt you further than last year?

Hey Plenty Sideways, maybe this year you need to change your name to Plenty Understeer??

Welcome aboard Fran, you get the best seat in the house, just ignore this lot, the old girl will get us there no problem despite Martins towbar references (although it would help when getting it out of the gravel trap on MB I suppose :-[).

Hey Buddy...LB
I wondered the other day if it was worth dropping you a line as I am not really sure how often you log on.

Anyway, it is good to know that you are coming this year, I am sure I will be able to understand more of what you say the drunker I get  ;D

I recently did a course for four hours in "Understanding the Geordie accent", I think it was successful, wye aye man. I thought this is good so I went on to do the further education series of learning the main words and phrases, this was to be something of a disappointment as the whole thing only lasted 15 minutes and ten of that was for a coffee break!!!!!  ;D ;D  Dey do dat doh don't dey.

Ok, sorry. It will be good to see you again and I would suggest taking the back seats out of your car so you can carry all of the spare luggage that Fran...LB will be carrying, dish mop, fairy liquid, gloves, etc. I have thought about bringing extra glasses just to keep her busy, we wouldn't want her to take over any conversation would we, if she can understand it (sorry again).

As for the distance I will travel from the campsite, you cheeky young whippersnapper, I have the full intention of jogging the circuit and checking out all the cars including all of the owners club areas, this will of course be before you arrive so I will therefore be exhausted by the time that the full Team...LB arrives. This, quite obviously will necessitate full rest and relaxation from friday lunch onwards...

Keep smiling, and don't forget your little coffee pot.

Keep digging Martin!

Its hard to know where to start:

"Dey do dat doh don't dey" = not like that they dont, not in the north west - I think you need to go back to Level I!

"dish mop, fairy liquid, gloves, etc." = I'll show you where to shove em if you dont watch out!

"we wouldn't want her to take over any conversation would we, if she can understand it " - you seem to forget that I am an emigre to the glorious north - so I dont anticipate any problems in that respect either.

Bring it on!!

Dear Frangipan...LB

Not sure about the digging, I think I was fishing, and I got a bite...

Your first point - it all sounds like that...

Second point - "I will show you etc." Who would that be a demonstration on as you normally find me sitting...

Understanding the lingo - This was not a slight on you, but as to whether you would be able to understand it. I do know that you improved your education of the English spoken word, very south in Guernsey...

Get packing girl, it will be good to see you...

I thought that Si was going to ask you if he could put the engine and other bits off that white donor car (the one he was breaking for bits) in the back of the GTA.  - just in case etc

Lotus owners should not throw stones!

How's it running Dave? Or are we still pushing it down hills to get it started? ;D

Yes Martin - the coffee maker is already packed. As is the Resolve and some indstrial strength ear plugs !! As for the Scouse lessons - I think you've been robbed. I'm a Durham lad - although I'm now learning SiSwati and SiZulu, you'll never understand them !!!

Dave - good to hear your in fine fettle. "Donor car"  ;D, all the bits are sitting safely in my hall - one day the little (ivory !) Giulia Sprint will be at the Classic.

No need for the "plenty understeer" name change - now the LSD is fitted, it behaves itself much better (it's never really been the ditchfinding, "idiots car for idiots" that TG made it out to be).

Then get in the car and get your *rses down here.  Sun's out and there are a few cold ones in the fridge. ;D
