Never heard of him meself, but there are two quite different accounts of his death...


From crash.net - It is understood that Robin died of natural causes in his sleep at a hotel in Belgium, while travelling with his team en route to Spa-Francorchamps.


From the Beeb - Two women have been arrested after a British motor racing boss was found dead in a shower at a sadomasochistic sex club in Belgium.

There are reports of a wealthy brit who died in a SM club in Brecht, of the age of 58, and also several reports to find on google that it was indeed him.

  I bought my 348 spider of Robin and remained quite good friends with him and his family. So sad to hear of his demise. RIP Robin.
He did have a heart condition.
