Silverstone classic
« on: July 12, 2010, 07:35:30 am »
Does anyone have plans to go this year? Last year was excellent so I'm planning to attend again but am currently thinking about arriving on the Saturday evening and camping at either Whittlebury or Litchlake.
Anyone else?

Steve

It had sort of crossed my mind - is this what used to be Coys Historic at Silverstone or something completely different?

You know that grumbling/squealing noise that disturbed your sleeping/drinking pattern for the last few days?

Thats it..... (tho in fairness, some of it may have been Martini snoring).

(Edit:  must still be a bit dozy - I thought you said "what is it"?  Its 23-25 July  http://www.silverstoneclassic.com/)

 Its 23-25 July

Unfortunately won't be able to make it, going surfing in France a few days later, and need to get the camping kit sorted, again.

Bob if you're in anything like the state you were in the last time I saw you at Silverstone, you won't be wandering around very far  ;)
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Love to wander around the classic at Silverstone, but........... have to go to a wedding, tried everything to get out of that!!!!

Oh well, will have to get drunk at that and not ever invited to any others  ;D
If you're going through hell, keep going.

Well I'll be at Hockenhiem, for the second time as I went to the first G P there in 1970 for an ace battle between Rindt and Ickx !! Hope this years race is as good !!
Always go into a corner too fast, in case it turns out to be a quick one!

I prefer the look of the race line up for Saturday rather than Sunday - but could always camp over on Saturday night so I don't miss Jedward!!

Think you'll have a long wait, didn't you know Edward broke his leg lasy week? So that's The Silverstone Classic ruined then...

OTOH I suppose they could always replace him with Gibberish in his tight jodhpurs, a sort of Gedward if you like...  ;)

Whatever happened to "the show must go on"?!

As for Gibberish and his joddies... let it go Andy - move on!
