Can I manage this on the way to Silverstone, I ask myself?

I will certainly be in the UK but it's not exactly in the direction of travel!

FS, as discussed yesterday I have "an important business meeting" somewhere close to Chichester on Thursday.

Ain't that a coincidence?  ;D

I'm staying in Kent tomorrow night and Banbury on Thursday.  What is the timetable like?  I'm still not sure if I can manage the detour, given that I have to load all the camping stuff into my car - a pretty laborious process these days - on Thursday morning.

If the period of cars which I am interested in (the more modern stuff) is about when I can be then I'd come. If it's all cigars volants and bikes by the time I can get there then I  won't bother (with appologies to your goodself for the snub FS!  In the past I would not have hesitated but  I have no "pusher" on this trip so it's going to be a pretty tough one this time.)   I'm tempted but don't want to spend more time on the road than actually enjoying myself as I get pretty knackered these days, as you will no doubt appreciate.

When were you thinking of serving "afternoon tea" and where?  Is a last minute decision in order?

Not seen him before, just a chancer looking for a ride in an Aston next year if you ask me.

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better.

Agreed....it's not like he's one of the faces that is recognisable at LM - so he's unlikely to have ever achieved anything in the great race......

He looks a little bit like Johnny Herbert though.....

I recognise him. He's one of the Audi wheel cleaners I think.

Cheeky begger.

Silverstone?

Not this year.

The No. 7 Audi died quite early on from electrical failure.
