I am hoping so. I have to work in the Ham earlier in the day so might head back home first.

You can get a £15 Fare all Day (After 9am). Get an Off Peak Ticket and travel on one of the slower services, I am struggling to find a way to prove this online!

Some trains are slow/fast ie stop at one station on their way to Reading. Chances are speak dutch and just get on a fast train and worst case is they throw you off at eerrrr...Reading!

http://ticketing.mytrainticket.co.uk/ Appears to offer the £15 Fare and it's return any day within a month.  But I could not see that on the First Great Western site.

The train conpanies have some very odd behaviours so you might be best buying at the station from the ticket office.  Last time I went to London I tried to buy my ticket from the Machine but simply couldn't find it on the menus. (I wanted a full price return anytime ticket.)   But could only find "off-Peak".  So I went to the ticket office and the guy said "Oh no we don't offer them because people buy the wrong ticket (i.e. Full Fare when they only need an off Peak.)

£15 is still a bit step for a few hours at the pub.

As long as you let me know before 19:00 on the day if you need the lift.

Tom, I will store your phone number in my cellphone and give you a ring on the day. 15 pounds sounds a lot better in my view. But I will have to get back to london that night. Can you also offer me a ride back to the trainstation? And if not, what would a cab cost to the station?

Roy. I am not staying over now so will not be drinking. I will be able to drop you off after the pub. No idea what time the last train is but if you miss it I can get you back to London.

It's next to Virginia Water...

shouldn't we revisit the old word association football thread?

I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Typical, you wait for ages for a Dutchman to turn up at a Wokingham meet and then two turn up at once!  ;D

Great to see everyone. Look forward to seeing some of you in a couple of weeks at the rugby!
