Kenny Brack

I hope everyone spares a thought this morning for Kenny Brack and his wife Anita.  Kenny was very badly injured in the IRL season finale at Texas Motor Speedway today.  With twelve laps to go he and Thomas Sheckter were disputing tird place when they touched wheels and Kenny's car was launched over the wall, into the debris fencing where it disintigrated violently.  The fact that Kenny is still alive is nothing short of a miracle in itself.  Apparently he has a number of quite severe fractures and is listed in serious but stable condition tonight.  Thomas was uninjured but quite shaken.  Also congrats go out to Gil de Ferran who won in his final race before calling it a career.  Always nice to go out on top.  The race was stopped five laps early because of the massive amount of damage to the debris fencing done by Bracks car.  Bits of the undertray and a wheel were jammed high in the mangled fencing.

Saw the crash on TV news this morning. A massive shunt.  Although he's badly broken, how lucky is he to be alive. Hope he makes a full recovery.

They said on the news last night that Kenny had surgery Sunday night to set the fractures in his ankles and femur.  All went very well.  They were going to do surgery to repair the vertabrae fracture today. If you go to www.rahal.com you can send Kenny a get well message.

Motor racing is still very danderous , but good to see that modern materials and production methods probably kept him alive .
Take life by the horns and live it.
