The last couple of years, the road between Mulsanne roundabout and the Porsche curves has been closed by les flics on the Friday.

Del

As Del says you certainly can no longer drive through, but it may be possible to take the short walk from Arnage to Indianapolis if you're really desperate to sit on your own....

Does anyone know at what time on Thursday afternoon the circuit is closed to the public? We're travelling down with a couple of Newbies and it would be good to show them the circuit.

According to www.lemans.org qualification is not until 7pm, so the track may be open most of the day.

The Legends and other cars are qualifying from 4pm, If memory serves me right, I though it was closed from 4pm on Wednesday until after 00.00 on Thursday night.

Its confusing.  Now if I remember an earlier post correctly, because the ACO don't seem to have half of this as provisional yet

Wednesday starts at 4pm and has a 4 hour test session, a 2 hour break and 2 hours of qualifying.

Thursday starts at about 4pm with two 1 hour sessions for the support races, then 2 2 hour qualifying sessions at 7 and 10pm.

So the ACO will close the track about Noon, to bolt all the barriers together.

As for Friday, it depends on how much arsing around there is before the Gendarmerie close Mulsanne to Arnage, but my guess is about the same time

Thinking about the last couple of years, I would agree with Lorry's timings
