Was that an anguished scream at the pain of using Google Apps, Rusty

I must confess to being somewhat biased, but if anyone is looking to do a little bit of document sharing with a few pals online, a far better approach would be to use Microsoft Office Web Apps - same kind of idea (ie Office apps but in a browser), only miles more functional and usable than Google's POS.
The principle downside (and the reason I didn't publish this map using the MS offering) is that you can't share documents that are writeable with others, unless they are explicitly known to you - ie I could publish a spreadsheet and everyone could read it, but only my "friends" would be able to write to it. The friends would need to sign in using a Hotmail/MSN/Live ID. The logistics of getting everyone on CA to have a Live ID, and to share it so that they can be granted permission to write to the sheet just means it would never happen. Say what you like about Google, but at least there's an option for me to publish a spreadsheet that every Tom, Dick or Harry could access and write to...
If you have a Live ID, try out the Web Apps at
http://skydrive.live.com - you get 25Gb of free online storage too.
