Was at the Simply Ford event at Beaulieu to today and was talking to a geeza who said he had some Original Ford brochures and press releases including one for the Ford Gt70  ...........Ive never heard of it but sure enough have just googled it, Essex v6 powered Grin not produced tho Sad

I was there too.

We were pitched backing on to the dismal collection of traders along the tree-lined avenue.

7 S-Maxes plus an RS, you would possibly have seen the S-Max Owners Club.

Built for the rallying scene, but overtaken by the Escort, there's a nice link to its history here:

Not to be confused with the Ford P68 3 litre, built for sports car racing in '68 by Alan Mann racing with the then new DFV engine, gorgeous looking car, but no Ford backing and suffered from never finishing any of the races in which it started, more details here:
