yet another shout for technical help.
« on: October 16, 2011, 04:49:15 pm »
I've just got my new phone and am having a little problem getting it to connect to a PC when using a usb cable.

I have tried to find device drivers, but just can't find any.Can somebody point me in the right direction?

The phone is a Samsung Galaxy sII

Have tried to connect it using XP,Vista and Windows 7 to no avail...all pick it up but, no drivers...tried Samsung site and gave up as I could not find anything sensible!!!

Hi Barry,

Tried the support site and gave up tring to find a driver....was hoping somebody else has had the same problem as me.

And they do not come with a disc...probably because you can connect via wi-fi which I am also have trouble with as my router signal is crap and the signal keeps dropping out, hence why I thought USB would be better.

Have you installed Samsung Kies? it should be on the disc. if not try changing the USB mode when attached to the pc to mass storage (options should come up automatically when attached) it then behaves like a usb memory stick.

There's a software package that's free to download.

Dort 1/CostCentre #1 has the same phone & we've had no hassles.
