Have any of you 'Arnagistes' ever attended the '24 heures Motonautiques de Rouen'?

Yes, in years gone by.
Akin to watching paint drying on water - little boats whizzing up and down the Seine with a buoy at either end of the course.
It's no longer a genuine 24 hour race following the death of a gendarme in a police Zodiac hit by a competitor in 2010. Now it's split into 3 separate races, I think.
For afficionados of that type of power-boat racing only IMHO.

Mind you, I love pretty much all forms of boat/yacht racing and if its in France, all the better.  :)

I watched about 20 seconds of it, one time when it coincided with LM test day. I saw them racing on the river as I drove over the bridge on my way through the city. I had no time to stop and look that time, but I've always wondered if it was worth the trip...

If you love yacht racing so much you should apply to do the Clipper Round the World.

I have done a bit of yacht racing, but prefer the short course inshore stuff really - more action!

:)

You should pop down to NZ for a holiday.  They let you race the old America's Cup yachts in Auckland these days.  You could plan it around a trip to Oz for Bathurst.   :)
