Arnage corner changes
« on: April 26, 2012, 12:21:41 am »
Looks like drivers will have a lot more run off area at Arnage corner from now on.
The picture here shows the work done so far looking down towards the Porsche curves.the tyre barrier that drivers had a habit of going straight into was by the edge of the road on the left.

We'll go and have a decko.  Off to pick up the tickets today and VdeV all weekend at the circuit.  Just getting in the mood now. ;D

Could you take a couple of pics - I am a bit worried that one of the few parts of the track that still had a bit of an 'old' feel to it may have been neutered.

Probably the only bit of the track that had been left essentially unmodified until now.

By the look of it, there's now one great big gravel trap on the outside of the corner to satisfy the FIA's demands, which necessitated the purchase and demolition of a private house.

No more lovely pictures of cars as they round Arnage corner, with the backdrop of tyres, Armco and trees....just gravel and a catch fence.

You are assuming the Delta is going to get that far around the circuit??? ??? ;D
Baldrick, my Lord! But I can change it to Ploppy if it'll make things easier.
