Thought you all might like to know that the Carrefour Market (old Champion) at Mulsanne is now opening Sunday mornings. Apparently Carrefour have sold these smaller shops off as a franchise operation and the new owners have taken this decision. So, you've got the bakery, petrol and supermarket all together if you need it next June.

Does that mean that the market on the drag back into town on Av Felix Geneslay will also be open?

Gues that will be down to the new owner, since they are no longer going to be under the control of Carrefour but individually owned.

We shopped at the Dia (which I believe to be a subsidiary of Carrefour) in Arnage on Sunday morning this year.

I always considered the French to be so lucky in having all the shops closed on a Sunday. No being dragged around Ikea to look at duvets with amusing names for them. It's the beginning of the end I tell thee. Still, I suppose it's somewhere other than McDonalds to go to for a dump in a reasonably clean toilet, if nothing else.

We can't all afford to dine on Finest Cornish Yarg and hand picked baby nettle sandwiches from the Cheese Hamlet darling. Some of us are still working class you know! Yeah, I'm no snob. I like a McDee every now and then. And the French ones are far superior as well. Yer can keep yer posh sandwiches.
