Silverstone pit allocations
« on: April 10, 2013, 10:36:46 am »
Obviously the WEC big boys will be "under the wing" but does anyone know which pit area the ELMS cars will be in? Will they be international or national?

I think they'll be in the main pits, if i recall last year, the old pit lane is now an assembly area for this meeting.

I'll know for sure by 7 Friday morning when i get the pit box sheets. I'll text you if you haven't got it by then

As far as I know the ELMS cars will be in the National paddock, whilst the WEC will be in the International paddock (i.e. the Wing)
Of course I buy green cars, my Aston is green, my MGB is green, my Disco Sport is green,  oh, that's not what you meant by green?

Bollox, just got confirmation that WEC and EuroF3 are using the Wing Pits,

ELMS will run all from the National including the race (last year it was the assembly area) So, start and finish will be the Wing, but grid will be the old grid with a 1.5 lap rolling start !

Wooosh!!!!

Damn fine plan, especially as the shuttle buses aren't running on Friday!

And when they do run they're packed and very slow.

The shuttle buses are a joke as is the lack of a bridge or tunnel near the start straight. I mean a 30 minute walk from the car park to the paddock is a joke.

Indeed, I forsee me constantly shuttling between the pit lanes, aiding the running of both
