NZ arm of home guard checking in.

Due to some exceptionally poor planning I appear to have got this weekend all arse about face. Currently have access to race updates via the internet but no alcohol, and in a few hours I shall access to alcohol but not the internet. DOH!!!

Big impact for the pretty blue Lola Coupe. Driver looks OK but the car has broken in half.

Asleep in a chair whilst watching a race?  Sounds like situation normal for you.  ;)

I'm still watching/listening.
184 laps in - SC out again.

Looks like being a long one. Beer levels getting critical here. Just two left.

2330 here in the midwest, almost dawn there.  Beer holding out, but fed up with the saftey car periods!  Are we watching a 24hr NASCAR race?  On a nine mile circuit there is no reason whatsoever to bring out the safety car for one stranded car.  Over three hours behind the SC at this point.  Getting laughable.

This a prank right?  SC period number 85 or 90?  Is the armco made of tin in France?  WTF?  Its not 1973 where people were getting hacked in two by ill-fitted armco, or is it?
This place & race is a f**k*ng joke!

First year in 11 I have not been at the race and i am missing the atmosphere so much. The safety car this year has been a disaster what are they playing at ? This had all the making of a great race and is now an orderly procession behind safety cars for four hours and with the chance of more rain and more safety cars.

What a shame......

Well I enjoyed that, from a weather point of view I was quite happy watching it from my lounge!!

Well done again Audi and Tom, I reckon next year their record might disappear.

I'd agree that the yellow flags seemed to be too frequent and often too long.

Eurosport coverage was good, I know everyone gets the same feed but the presenters did a good job. I enjoyed some of those slow motion sequences they played, like the refuelling hose coming out of the Corvette .

Safe journey back to those out there...

The 13 annual Breakfast at Le Mans is over for the year.  We are in beautiful and sunny Florida and had a great time.  I love my "Brethren" shirt and our group had all they could drink and eat.  I hope all enjoyed the weekend and the race.  We as race fans expect danger but when it comes it's awful.  This is the first tragedy since the mid '80s.
