Saw it a few days ago. Top film

I always wondered what Peugot did with their prototypes once the car shows were done..

Of course many technical diversions from reality. (not nearly as much as Driven).

Subtitles are not really needed the plot is easy enough to follow even if your french isn't good enough to pick it all up.

I need to get it on dvd now...

You all need to see MV Tv serie broadcasted in mid 60's...
... he runs on Alpine cars not only in Le Mans but also F3000 and F1 and daytona...

And it's full of real drivers such as Bob Bondurant !!

:( But The DVD is only in French  :P
Le Mans is life, anything before and after is just waiting...

... it's not the taking part but the winning that counts !

Phil,
The story on Rendevouz that I've always heard is that Jean Pierre Beltoise did the driving.  When questioned about it he always replys with a wink and a nod but has never fully fessed up to it.  The re-release DVD version is supposed to be cleaned up nicely as well.  The original was kind of murky & grainy.

Hi Fax - and a HNY!
Someone over here recently had a good look at Rendezvous, comparing the times in the film to measured distances on the Parisian ground. It turns out that his average speed was around 35mph, and near the start of the film where he's apparently maxing the V12 in fifth, he's doing around 70. Doubt was also cast over the tyre noises compared to the different road surfaces.
I reckon the film was shot by from Robbos mini.
Great soundtrack though.
