I do love the V8.

I am sorry, but I do like the sound of the Audi Diesels. When they start them up without the top cover they sound like a broken Hoover, but when they pass you at race speed they sound like they're steam powered.

Not meaning to hi-jack the thread, but, was it's only win in the back of Jimmy's Lotus at watkins Glen in '66? I think so....

The Jag V12 with the 48valve head. Only ever ran at Brands. Had that extra mechanical noise which was fabulous.
Metro 6R4 engine. Always sounded like it was on the verge of blowing up.
