Aaah yes,
This would have been the Team Einstein entry of 1953, and again in 2348.
If I remember correctly, they had problems with the Relativity Box early on Sunday morning and again late in the Paleozoic era. At high speeds on the Mulsanne it was getting cause and effect confused with terrible effects on the dynamics of the car, but rather pleasing results for the desperately hung over and partied out pilote Rev Philips.
To be fair to the team, they'd suffered problems right through testing at the famous 17km cyclotron accelerator in Cerne. While testing the revolutionary taurus based exhaust system one of unfortunate mechanics actually disappeared up his own a*sehole. These boys were dealing with strange forces, and it's likely this photograph was taken somewhere in the infamous Decay Sector.
It was pioneers like these brave souls that got us where we are today, where that actually is, I'm not quite sure, I tell you, these Audi boys have it easy.
I beleive there is a small memorial dedicated to that poor mechanic in the main grandstand. It's easy enough to find, the room has Jean Marie Balstre on the door...
