Hey guys, Hope all my American colleagues (and all our global CA buddies for that matter) are enjoying the 4th, I've got a Angus brisket in the smoker, been marinating in a bourbon sauce all night, and went in the Brinkmann about eleven this morning, going to pull it soon, while dodging our pyromaniac neighbors. Here's to the day the loonies took over the asylum. fax

Hey Dirk, Like the Dutch, Americans love fireworks, so the 4th is our favorite day to barbecue, drink beer all day, and blow stuff up. Ugh! Sore head today... Fax

Waiting for the bus at the tram roundabout i was talking to an American chap, he was big. Anyway i said to him "'scuse me sir can you tell me what sort of car that is". "It's a Jagwaaar" he said. I pissed my self laughing and appologised saying that i always wanted to do that, and he just walked away "you fu~@ing Engish bastard" was his reply. No sense of fun that septic.

Sadly we're always going to run into those folks who don't have a sense of humor, and can't laugh at themselves. Even funnier are the people who pronounce it Jag-wire. Fax

It was lost on me, I was agreeing with Lofty, and next thing JC's telling me to stifle it? I was ready to launch some F-bombs Jim's way. Yeah, I get the Bunker reference now, but I was never a All In The Family guy, thought Lear went too over the top with political crap, even for the Vietnam era. I was more of a Bob Newhart, or MTM fan. Fax

Nah, you were just ahead of the curve on that one. Heading over to the historic Lawrencburg Speedway tomorrow night for the USAC National Sprint Cars, round three of Indiana Sprint Week. Pure racing, it hasn't changed in sixty years, no wings, no clever electronics, just a 1400lb, 900bhp bat out of hell to try and handle. Fax

They're loud & raucous, enormously difficult to drive on the limit, very old school type of racing (and you seem the old school racing type). Driver talent really shines through. If you see them on dirt, make sure you wear clothes your not afraid to get dirty, you will be dirty (but smiling) by the end of the night. Fax
