Last Dambuster Pilot - RIP
« on: August 04, 2015, 08:45:52 pm »
Les Munro, the last surviving pilot from the Dambusters Raid has died in his native New Zealand at the age of 96.

RIP, with a glass raised to the sky in salute and memory of his courage, honour and memory.

Only two surviving crew left now, I think.

His funeral is on Saturday and the family have invited anyone who wishes to attend.  If I didn't have a course booked I would have made the drive down to The Mount to pay my respects.  As it is I shall be raising a glass to Les at home instead.

RIP Les.
