I think Gilles is on the money - looks like a silver Enzo though it's confusing 'cos the area below where the plate would be should be painted too but it looks dark - could be shadow.

Enzo then?

We drove up the Mulsanne in the Sud on the Friday and ended up following it back down the straight and round as far as Arnage.  The bugger didnt lose me, despite my photographic evidence.

Where, and what color was the other one you saw?  I saw a red one (highly decaled) out in the town on Saturday morning.  It was in a sea of dark French motors had I had my camera with me, it would have made a great shot - its roof coming-up to the front wings of all the other cars.

Nice camera work by the way!

Anyone else got any images that depict a microscopic dot on the horizon, so that we can all make wild guesses about its identity, as a way of passing the long winter nights?
I feel that the riddle was finally solved by stoic process of elimination, as the clues in the photo were non-existent (or maybe I'm just going blind in my old age). If the correct answer had been "Iveco TEC 6x6" I wouldn't have argued to the contrary.
Throw me a frickin' bone, here.

Quite, I've had to book an appointment at the opticians because I've strained my good eye.

I strained my japs eye once, but the optician wouldn't have anything to do with it.
Isn't a Pagani a sort of squashed toasted sandwich? I suppose it is Italian, but then again, unlikely to pass you on the peage.

Well thanks DR, I don't know what to do with it yet but I'll let you know.

As with a lot of other things I can think of the Pagani has a very individual rear, not quite as engaging as some I will admit, but distinctive all the same.

For the record I do wear glasses but they were of no help whatsoever. It was probably a few drinks that did the trick - having the reverse effect to normal, making the blurred image clearer.

Off now to Dreamracers.net to view the spoils  :)
