If you didn't already know, Brittany have now put up sailings for 2018  :)

Ours is booked  ;D

Then just been told that one of our guys has been offered flights in a private charter from Woodstock, Oxford to Arnage direct for 400quid each ! Bugger !!

Kinda takes the fun out of the trip thou!

Yes - that's the one!
The one with very few commercially available flights.
I could cope with a bit of extra noise if I could walk to the airport and catch a flight to France!

I don't know which Woodstock you are talking about then but my house is under the flightpath in Woodstock.
I wonder where those planes are all landing?

Well as far as I can recall it was always known as Kidlington Aiport until the stupid name change, I don't recall it ever being called Woodstock airport, and I've lived in Oxfordshire for 56 years!

Anyway £400 is a lot per person, and is that return?  Now if they flew an air ferry then I'd sign up for that in a flash !

Hi Geoff,

Yes - never been called Woodstock airport - technically it is now "London Oxford" airport.
I didn't say Woodstock Airport, I said a private charter from Woodstock.  ;)
I am splitting hairs of course.
In everything but name it is Kidlington or Woodstock (Depends on where you live I suppose).
Geographically it is 96% located in the parish of Bladon actually, with only 4% in Woodstock, nothing in Kidlington.

£400 is EACH WAY, Private charter Cessna Citation 6-Seater w/ pilot (obviously).
I didn't think that was too bad, but then I don't charter flights too often myself................

Anyways ferry is booked now.
Would be fun and cool to fly down once, but would take away the excitement of the road trip methinks

I have no idea which sailing Mrs LJ has booked for us - she'll tell me I should have turned right to Poole rather than left to Pompey no doubt...
