Going back to an earlier thread of mine about being board of Arnage town and how quiet it’s been, we found an English pub called the Rose and Crown in the centre of Le Lude run by an English couple that we will be frequenting this year instead.

Good call Sir! Not been to Le Lude but it looks well worth a visit, the wife and I will wander down for a look on one of our free days I expect.

If you visit and like it I have a house going for sale not far from Le Lude ;) :D

So, the hour is nearly upon us. I think its only 4 more sleeps till the off.

Spent 10hrs yesterday detailing the Maserati Stradale. Waste of time really it will be covered in frog bugs and the inside will look like there has been a bread fight of some sort.

Oh well, its all apart of the countdown.

I must say, I am really, really looking forward to it this year, need to blow off some steam!

Sadly cant start my car prep as i need to collect a new engine in it Saturday but come Sunday the prep starts. The spare room looks like a bomb has gone off with camping gear, clothes etc and I am really looking forward to the break. Its not been a present time and I did think I was going to have to forgo my trip but family have rallied around as have friends and I will get over. I am really grateful and to be honest I need the break!

6 days to go.

My BMW is fine which I am travelling in thankfully but my Suzuki swift track car which I am due to go to Germany (The Nurburgring) in 3 weeks in has developed a large engine issue so replacing the engine asap. I was going to go to Le Mans in it but realised it wouldn't be ready so got the daily ready as a replacement.

Kev, run that by me again - A Suzuki Swift track car? I'd love to see a photo of that. What engine do you have in it?
I tested negative for patience.

Yep. Ex nurburgring rental car. Pictures are from Anglesey in April.

I imported it back last year into the uk very well spec'd car. Not the quickest but handles and out brakes a lot of things. Around a 9 minute car at the ring if you keep the momentum going. Quickest swift around the ring has been about 8:30  :o
