19-20 September new dates

aghhh - rush to re-book ferry

Re-booked my ferry tonight - 35min to get through

Price cheaper than in June and they did not know Le Mans dates had been changed -

Word or warning, on the Wed - Portsmouth - Caen - at present only 2 crossings - but that may change.

So planning Christmas coming early to Le Mans  ;D
If you're going through hell, keep going.

I did mine on line by just amending my booking.
Brittany Ferries outbound Portsmouth to Caen on 17th September and return on 21st. Also £90 cheaper ;D
If I was you, I wouldn't start from here

With the new dates it means I can't make it  :'(

If we can still travel to France in June we will use the ferry and do a little touring trip but September is out due to baby arrival

Not surprised at the change given the circumstances.
I've managed to get the ferry booking changed so roll on September (LM will be the weekend after the Goodwood Revival).

I'm changed now onto Pompey - Caen like Garyfrogeye

Saved no money because it is a more expensive ride than Pompey - Cherbourg but Brittany were not taking changes for the comet on the timetable   >:(

Changed boat rather than risk not getting a slot

Ditto - changed dates on the Pompey-Caen crossing, on the equivalent ferry - out Wednesday overnight, back Monday PM. £77 cheaper :)
Brittany Ferries presumably caught napping by the ACO...
Newspaper misprints from around the world:

Sh!t, this is serious.  Most of the Brittany Ferries boats are parked up.  There's a couple doing trailer only crossings

I think you right, they were caught napping,

I re-booked 2 hrs after details came thru - and they told me they had not been informed

And we saved money - more to spend on beer - forget those dam bog rolls   ;D

Stay safe all - see you in a field in France in Sept

Hmmmmmm..... Has there been an "arrival" at the 24 previously?  :o

An opportunity to go down in the Le Mans record books as the first, mayhaps???    ;D

It's interesting to read through this thread from the start and see how the posts have changed from bullish optimism to subdued resignation that Le Mans in June is out of the question. I couldn't have made it in June this year but, if the worldwide situation has eased during the summer, September might be possible.
Hopefully I'll see a few of you at Silverstone in August as well if that isn't rescheduled.

Fingers crossed - stay well everyone!

I remember back some years we used to have a Sunday night Club Arnage meeting on chat or something. Before we'd all met in real life, I think.
