Jock Simpson

It is with great sadness that I have to post this news.
Jock (baloo here on the forum), our Club Arnage contributor for the last 20 years and the author of 'Jox Jottings', died this morning.
I will post a proper obituary in a day or two and share funeral arrangements as soon as I have them.

Le Mans will never be quite the same without him.

A real shame.  I remember meeting Jock at The Three Frogs, many years ago now - he was a genuinely decent, enthusiastic and interesting individual - knowledgable but never derogatory of those who had less knowledge than he.

I very much enjoyed Jocks jottings - indeed a lot of the time they were my source of information at Le Mans - (mainly owing to data restraints over the years) - as Dave mentions above, Le Mans will never be quite the same.

Enjoy the racetrack in the sky, Jock.

Such terribly sad news. His writing was a complete joy to read. RIP Baloo
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Shocking news that came in yesterday morning.

I'll miss our long talks about LM, motorsport and everything else ... whether it was on track or by mail.
Knew he had a bit of setback in the recovery of his heart surgery last year, but we were hoping and planning to finally meet up again at the Classic later this year. Guess it'll take some time now before we see each other again Big Man !

Le Mans will never be the same again.

Again, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any CAers but my thoughts and prayers for those close to Mssr Simpson.
