Isn't Silverstone a back up in case they cant go to the states due to covid 19?

Austin Texas off it too. Statement from CEO of the WEC

“We listened to our manufacturers, teams and partners and responded with a calendar featuring fewer events than in the past to allow them all time to deal with the current economic crisis." said Gerard Neveu, CEO of the WEC. "We will revise this upwards again in the future, as and when the health situation and the economy allows us to do so, hopefully from 2022 onwards.

"The calendar also takes into account our logistical road map as it provides our teams with the most cost-effective package possible.”

I'd hope from that it'll be back on the Silverstone calendar in 2022.

19th of March at Silverstone.
Oh joy!
They would have to reschedule the date if that were to happen.

They would have to reschedule the date if that were to happen.

During the ACO press conference it was stated that if Sebring couldn't go ahead then there would be a race in Europe in early April.

Everyone is presuming that would be Silverstone, but still likely to be cold and damp in April, with the chance of snow!
Of course I buy green cars, my Aston is green, my MGB is green, my Disco Sport is green,  oh, that's not what you meant by green?

I would put my money on Portimao for March.

Ooo that could be good as I'm out there for nearly all of March. Especially as the Nov one seems to have the doors firmly shut now.
