'Hadn't noticed before.....is it always so close to the real thing? Seems like it would lessen attendance......

I always wondered whey they didn't do it NEARER to the main event? (Like the weekend AFTER the 24h).

Appreciate that logistically this would be a nightmare for teams, but all the fans would already be there and many would stay for BOTH events (#captiveaudience).
This would minimise impact on the number of road closure periods needed and on disruption to the town.

Would be great if in 2023 they did like this to celebrate the 100 years!

Baldrick, my Lord! But I can change it to Ploppy if it'll make things easier.

I see yer pernt, but at the same time, there are many that can't swing that much time off so close together. In my case, being retired, I could, but still wouldn't just because they're too close together. I'd just be needin' my fill of the real 24, having already seen many of the past cars realtime back in the day.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy historic racing, but enuff is enuff within so little time. Anyhow, clk....enjoy....  Cheesy
