Group C support race
« on: May 18, 2004, 10:16:28 am »
Other than what is on the Group C web site does anyone know what time this race starts and the possible entry list. I cant find anything on the ACO site that even indicates that there is a support race. I may of course be looking in the wrong spot.
Does it really only have full throttle

Have a look here.

The ACO site is very strange, the links never work for me first time

Simon Pullan, the Rollcentre Noble driver in British GT, will drive the short tail 962 of his uncle.

I swear, the only resemblance to 9/11 (or any other kind of this) is that it's a Porsche and it makes a rumbling noise. So, there's no encoding of any messages needed here.

Looks pretty good.

Pretty good?  Looks bloody marvellous to me - A grid of 38 Group C era cars back at the Sarthe for an hour's thrash round the circuit  ;D ;D.   Almost makes you wonder why they don't just extend the support race to last 24 hours.... Can't wait  ;D

I agreed, I wish it could be longer than just one hour.

Forget all the parades and farting about, if they started Group C at 10:00 they could get 4 hours in and there would still be time for the 24 hours proper.

The ACO site is very strange..

It certainly is:
"Saturday June 12, 4pm: Start of the 72nd race of the « 24 Heures du Mans »"
"Sunday June 13, 4pm: Finish of the 71st race of the "24 Heures du Mans"

:)
