Access To Pit Grandstand
« on: May 20, 2004, 01:49:27 pm »
Somebody told me that during the night when it's quieter, you can get into the Pit Grandstand with a pass for any other Grandstand.

Does anyone know if this is true, or is it just a case of the "doormen" not being so alert at 2am??

I haven't encounted any guards around the pit area after about 10pm. We normally go above the pits, in the ACO stand, etc, completely free of any checks.

We had tickets for Tribune 15 last year, and they were still checking passes for that at 2am. I'm sure a cold beer would have surfised though!!  ;)

JP -

Me and Rich manmaged to get into the pit grandstand every year so far. At 0230 or so, poke your camera at the security guard, he doesnt really care.

Or give him a beer.
