I just logged in and there's nobody out there not even a guest.  I guess everybody's resting up, just getting ready, dreaming of little Audi's, Corvette's, Ferrari's, and "porches" going vroom, vroom, going round and round.  Sound like kid's at Christmas with sugarplums and such.  Anyway, goodnight Gracie.

Hi Phil, and Johnevans3,

I´m here for about an hour or so, took that long to read the previous postings from yesterday afternoon and evening. Still got a PM in my box to read.....yours Phil? Just for the record, I`m drinking my morning tea, never was much of a coffee drinker and the coffee here has more adverse affects on me than a Liverpool Boys Low Flyer. John you are welcome to stop by MB, we will be in the Shithouse Triangle, sure we will find something stronger than a tea to offer you.

Thats our new luxury item for this year.  Along with a fridge.  Oh and a Microwave.  Thought the microwave is not for food as such.  (see the
BJ goes techno tread :-)   I've tried the 12 volt coolboxes they're ok but tend to flatten the battery.  Huh

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

Good morning sleepy heads Grin

Gab, are you near Frankfurt/Main by any chance ?

I'll have a coffee now and update the profile, just 15 days to go...

I seem to remember one of our lot doing a raid on a genny belonging to someone camped next to us, and it was a noisy bugger that ran day and night.... until a daring late night raid with a small quantity of sugar made the ideal fuel additive  Grin

What do the genny owners here do to keep them quiet?

We will be digging a pit for ours and than parking a car over the pit and then chaining the genny (or Jenifer as we like to call her) to the car.  No sugar in our fuel please!!!

Last years was a quiet running one so we just parked the cars and trailers around it. This years one I haven't heard running yet (will do this weekend) and if necessary we will be looking at some sort of box with sponge or material inside to cover it and absorb the noise. We do of course turn it off at night!!!

I like FAYBOY's idea of the pit as well though and then parking the car over the top for security!!
