Over Night stops

For those needing to stop over night (read your note Smokie - cant find it again!) you might try theses guys https://www.stopoverconnections.com. We used them a couple of years ago on the way back from Hols, stopped in this place which is just north of Rouen:

which was abolustly great value but not cheap!and a lovely Lady.

Nice one SR.  That Chambre des poupees looks good for 4 blokes on their way back to Calais.  Might give it a try next year.  What was your experience.  food etc?

No evening meal food normally ( but may make special arrrangments) we went out and had just about the best meal we have ever had in France in a resurant about 5 miles away which they booked for us. Breakfast was typical french style but all homemade or local breads cheeses jams fruits etc
